Do you want to know what makes a DSLR camera different from the rest? Read this post and learn to find the best slr digital camera.
A digital SLR camera looks like any normal big digital camera but it’s different in the manner in which it is used. It is a digital camera that enables the user to see the picture exactly as it is without being altered by any digital components inside the camera.
This makes the quality of the picture very good as there is less “noise” to spoil the image. Keep this in mind, in a compact digital camera the image that you see through the viewfinder/ eyepiece or the LCD screen is digitally generated that is to say the image that the user wants to capture is captured by the lens and then sent to the screen using electronic components while in a digital SLR camera the image is taken to the viewfinder by mirrors and lenses that reflects the image from one mirror to another.
Well, this is an over simplification of the explanation but in essence this is how it works. With this you are almost ready to find what is the best digital slr camera.
Let me unpack this explanation a bit more, the light goes through the lens as we all know. Once the light enters the camera it hits a mirror, which reflects it to a condenser lens. The lens then sends it to a 5 sided prism that diverts it to the user’s eye in the eye piece. Now as you take a shot with the camerathe mirror will move out of the way to allow the light to land on an image sensor that is behind the mirror.
I am sure now you understand me when I say with a digital SLR camera you see the image exactly as it is.
We said earlier that what you see on the viewfinder is the exact image but in most instances it is not 100%. This is why it is quite important to check out the brightness and coverage features of any DSLR before you buy it. the best possible image coverage is 95% but your naked eye can never really see the difference no matter how hard you look.
If feel like you are not ready to use a fully manual camera, don’t stress about it, there are some automatic settings that you can use in most DSLRs.
